Poor Baby

Turner started running a fever night before last and was very clingy yesterday. She has a little cold, a tooth coming in, and a little cough. Stuart and I were up and down with her all night long! She woke up this morning around 2 with a terrible nose bleed. She acted okay but it scared both of us! I cleaned her up and flushed her nose with saline. I didn't want to mess with it too much for fear that it would start to bleed again. It did just a little bit, but it has stopped. Luckily, she hasn't had a fever since around 2 this morning and seems to be acting so much better. I gave her a breathing treatment and that also seems to be helping her cough. I am home with her today just to make sure that she is back to her old self.....and to get some rest. I am exhausted from being up all night. Waverly was a little congested this morning, so I have my fingers crossed that she is not getting sick, too. We have a BIG surprise planned for her this weekend and don't want to have to cancel because she is sick. Otherwise, we are great and the girls are perfect....as always!

Yay Weekend!

I LOVE LOVE LOVE the weekends! I love just being together as a family and not having to rush to be anywhere. I love snuggling in our pajamas, playing in the yard, and just being able to spend time together.

Turner is getting her 5th tooth!! It is one of the top front teeth and it is pretty rough on her. Although, she is still as easy-going as ever and sleeping pretty well, too. At 14 months, Waverly only had her 2 bottom teeth. It is amazing how 2 baby girls from the same mommy and daddy can be so different. Wherever we go we always get comments about how sweet Turner is. Waverly was a great baby, but I don't think God every made a sweeter baby than my Turner or a better big sister than Waverly.

Stuart has been busy today working on the boat trailer so it will be ready for our annual spring break trip to the Florida Keys. We didn't go last year because I was giving birth a week later, but it will be annual from here on out. We pull our boat and rent a house on the water so Stuart can go diving everyday, we can go snorkeling, go fishing, and have after dinner cruises. My mom is going with us so she can watch the girls so Stuart and I can try and have some time for ourselves. We are hoping to at least go out to dinner a couple of times.....we will see how that goes. :)

Here is a pic of Turner in the sink for the first time and Waverly on our "date" Thursday night to McDonald's

Happy 9 months ETM!

Where has the time gone? I can't even grasp the fact that my Turner is already 9 months old (she was actually 9 months last Sunday)! She had her 9 month checkup on Friday and is doing fantastic, right on track, and growing like a weed. She is 21 lbs 10 oz and is in the 89% for weight, 84% for height, and of course 97% for head circumference....she does have 1/2 Morrison and 1/2 Caddy genes which equals BIG head! Ha ha! Dr. Stone was very pleased with how well she is doing and even more happy that she has not been wheezing or needed any breathing treatments lately. We already have her 1 year appt. scheduled.....CRAZY!! She also has 4 teeth and is eating everything that doesn't eat her first. We also gave her a sippy cup with water yesterday for the first time and she knew exactly what to do with it. She had a little sip of water and loved it!

Waverly had a fantastic week and continues to be a big help to me. She is always asking to help me around the house or take care of her sister. I am lucky to have such a sweet little helper.

Long overdue!

Having 2 children and a full time job make it very difficult to keep a blog updated. So, I am finally posting in what seems like forever. Waverly is definitely not a little baby anymore and my gorgeous 3 year old is the best big sister. She absolutely adores her baby sister....seriously! Turner lights up when she sees Waverly. Turner is still the best baby that has ever lived. So many people comment on her sweet disposition and I have been asked more times that I can count, "Does she ever cry?". Stuart and I are busy with our two angels, but do not know how we ever existed without them! I know I have said this before but.......I really will promise to try and update more frequently.

Update

Well, I am extremely overdue for an update on my blog! Evelyn Turner Morrison "Turner" is now 3 months old and the sweetest, most laid back, happiest baby in the world! I thought Waverly was an easy baby but Turner has her beat. She is nursing and sleeping like a champ. She very rarely cries and nothing phases her, not even her big sister being loud and silly. I must say that having another girl has been so easy, as far as planning and shopping goes. Turner is able to wear all of Waverly's clothes since she was born at the end of April and Waverly was born in July. It is warm enough in Savannah in April that Turner was able to wear everything. The only thing we had to buy was diapers, wipes, and I gave in and bought a few matching outfits for the girls. You have to do that right? :) Stuart and I could not be more happy to have our 2 sweet girls and have our little family of four.

Waverly just had her 3rd birthday last Friday, July 20th. I can't believe that my first born angel is already 3 years old and it feels like I just gave birth to her yesterday. She is the smartest, funniest, sweetest little girl in the world. Her daddy & I love her so much and just wish that time would slow down a little bit. Our babies are growing up way too fast!

Baby Morrison Update

I am now 33 weeks pregnant with Waverly's little sister. I was diagnosed in December with polyhydramnios, which is extra amniotic fluid. I have been measuring ahead because of the extra fluid and have to have an ultrasound and be hooked up to the fetal monitor weekly to monitor the baby and myself. So far, so good! The baby is great....going to be pretty big and I am doing fine. I am just uncomfortable with this big belly full of baby and fluid. Unless I go into labor on my own, my c-section is scheduled for April 20th. Waverly is so excited about her baby sister and she is going to be such a big help! :)

Finally!!

I have not been doing a very good job of keeping my blog updated, but with the help of my new blogger app on my iPad I can do better.

Waverly is now 2 1/2, as she likes to say, and is growing like a weed. She has been potty-trained for over 6 months and is even sleeping in her big girl panties at night! I am so proud of her and I can only hope that the new baby will be just as easy. Waverly just finished up her 3rd year of swimming lessons at the aquatic center and her instructor said she is beyond ready for the 3-5 year old class. We are going to do that this summer.

Our second daughter, Evelyn Turner Morrison, should arrive in a little over 6 weeks. Evelyn was my maternal grandmother's name and she loved Waverly so much. I know that she would be thrilled to know that she has a great granddaughter named after her. Stuart decided on Turner, which is the name of the waterway where we keep our boat. Our boat is kept at Hogans' Marina on Turner's Creek. If we ever move back to North Carolina, Turner's name will always make us remember our time in Savannah. We are going to call her Turner and can't wait for her to arrive. Waverly is so ecstatic about becoming a big sister and I think she is going to be a huge help!

I promise to update very soon. I know i have said that in the past, but since I do everything on my iPad it will be much easier now.
